Nail Creation’s UV gels and gel polishes are 15-free! We look at the big 3 (3-free), 5-free & 15-free UV gels. Find out which 15 chemicals we avoid in our UV Gels.

Nail Creation only makes nail products with the safest ingredients, to prevent you (and your customer) from any harmful long-term effects. It was a challenge to produce natural nail products, but we succeeded to make UV nail products without the 15 most toxic chemicals.

Free of the big 3!

Nail Creation’s UV gel = free of the Big 3! These three chemicals, commonly used in nail products, are the most mentioned ‘toxic’ chemicals. All these ingredients are linked to cause some harmful effects, such as allergies, developmental problems and cancer.

Dibutyl phthalate (DBP): DPB, a plasticizer, is added to UV gels to prevent the product from cracks & chips. The chemical is associated with reproductive system issues and it is a proven carcinogen.

Formaldehyde: This chemical is used as a sterilizer and preservative in UV gels, and gives it that strong odor. Formaldehyde has been considered as carcinogen and can be linked to breathing problems and nausea.

Toluene: Toluene is used to help keep the UV gel smooth and even. This chemical has been linked to problems with the nervous system, causes headaches, dizziness and nausea.

That’s why we don’t use the big 3 in our UV Gels!

We are also 5-free

Nail Creation’s UV gel is also 5-free. In addition to DPB, Formaldehyde and Toluene we also excluded the following two chemicals:

Formaldehyde resin: This chemical improves the lifetime of the nail product and adds a glossy shine. Formaldehyde Resin, a skin allergen, that has been proven to cause dermatitis.

Camphor: Synthetic camphor is used to add more elasticity and shine to UV nail products. This chemical carries side-effect for your health, includes skin irritation, migraines, dizziness and nausea.

15-free UV gels

Our nail products are better and safer because we avoid 10 more harmful ingredients! We are proud to say that all our UV gels are 15-free!
Free of DBP, Formaldehyde, toluene, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor and the 10 chemicals below:

Acetone: is commonly used a as a solvent and is toxic in nature. Exposure to acetone can cause skin and eye irritation, inhalation hazards & headaches. When used in excessive amount it may cause  loss consciousness, and may even be fatal.

Bisphenol A: The most common health risks associated with BPA are several allergic skin reactions or irritation to the eyes or airways. It even may affect the reproductive system.

Ethyl Tosylamide: is used in nail products as a plasticizer that increases the durability and adhesion of UV gels. It may cause irritations to the skin/eyes or dysfunctions at the reproductive level. Ethyl Tosylamide has been banned from nail products in the EU, because of its toxicological properties.

Glycol Ether: Glycol Ether serves as solvents in the formulation of some gel polishes. Exposure to this chemical may cause skin and eye irritations, headaches, nausea or temporary clouding of the cornea. It can be associated with reproductive effects.

Nonylphenol ethoxylate: NPEs has been associated with reproductive disorders, hormonal imbalances and certaing types of cancer.

Parabens: Parabens are used to prevent microbial growth and maintain product quality. Parabens have been associated with potential health risks such as hormonal problems and allergic reactions.
Styrene: Styrene is a chemical compound and exposure to it may result in headaches, dizziness, nausea and irritations to the airways. Styrene have also been associated with skin irritations.

Sulfates: Sulfates can be oxidized into sulphuric acid, a corrosive substance. Sulfates can lead to dryness and irritation to the skin/ eyes.

Triphenyl Fosfate (TPHP): Is a plasticizer that is used to improve the flexibility and durability of UV gels. The exposure to TPHP has been associated with  The exposure to TPHP has been associated with endocrine-disrupting effects.

Xylene: Xylene thin out UV gels – to prevent the product from getting gloppy and causes the commonly strong odor of nail products. Xylene may cause inhalations problems and neurological effects, such as eye-and skin irritations, headaches, dizziness and nausea.
